changing the intake isnt terribly difficult
take off your entire air box setup,
take off the throttle cable,
take of the 4(?) housing bolts,
peel off gasket
*note be careful when doing this on the engine itself, dont want to make a small dent of any kind*
clean up intake mani,
get new gasket, and use some rtv (sold at any parts shop)
put some on either side of gasket
work backwards
and be sure not to run on your car for 24 hours
that why u have a nice tight seal
anyways good luck
changing intake gaskets is super easy. buy yourself a haynes manual & do some research on clubgp.com. it can easily be accomplished in an afternoon. hell i would come & do it for a 2-4 if you lived a bit closer :D
i thought $800 was a little high, thanks for the offer, but i aint going to canada anytime soon.
anyone know a grand am board?
