  • low traction!!!

I have a 96 camaro and the abs light comes on for no reason even on a sunny day, and triggers the low traction which then doesnt allow me to brake,!! This happens especially when i am turning the steering wheel, switching lanes and have to brake, etc then after the traction control goes away. Could someone please help, this can be deadly!!, thanks

    Re: low traction!!!

You could check your speed sensor lines up front to make sure their not moving around and check the speed sensors while your at it.

check all the wires going to your front wheel speed sensors, sound like you might have a damaged wire. you may also have a front wheel sensor going bad, worst case sensor.

This leads me to belive the problem has somthing to do only with the front end of the car, due to the fact that the wires have to move along with the hub/sensor assembly while turning and could be subsequently damaged. At least thats how i am looking at it.

Its probably gonna end up being your ABS censors in your rear wheels. My grand am done the same exact thing and that is what it was. I had the censors replaced and all is well.
