Is it alright to do this every time I drive my car? Or will it affect the life of the cooling fan? Is it that it just wastes a lot of battery? I like my temp. being constantly at 160 like it is now. Thanks.

Running cooling fans on high

If you leave your fans on high for excessive amounts of time then it will cause wear and tear. You really only want to leave the fans on low during normal driving and high if you are at the track. Try a 50/50 mixture of coolant/water to decrease the operating temps.

Actually you should run 50/50 year round... If you dont, you must live in the severe arctic or somewhere in the deep south.
For hotter climates, run more water (up to 70%)... For cooler climates run more antifreeze (up to 100% depending on how cold it gets).2002 5-spd NBM Camaro
