So the tail light and the brake light are the same bulb (or at least I think so) but my left one seems a tad dimmer and the break light doesn't work. I checked both fillaments in the bulb and they're both fine. Does anyone know what's up?
Update: So it's not the light, it is something with the wiring. Basically, the brake light will work sometimes but basically never works if my lights are on. what could this be? Maybe it's a ground issue?
If I'm not getting the full 12 volts, it's probably the ground right? and if so, where do the tail lights ground at? Is it those wires byt the trunk latch?
if they light up in one mode, then its not the ground at the back.
post you full problem, it may be the turnsignal switch.. as weird as that sounds.

you have to change your light switch. It is inside the turn signal lever. I got mine changed when I got my car inspected since I couldn't do it myself I had to take it in the *** and pay $200 for them to change it. The part itself is like 40 bucks but the labor is a pain in the *** since they had to take apart the steering wheel.

I think I have the same problem. The light is dim, and also the brake and abs inop is on, It also messes up my wipers and causes them to work only sometimes.

turn signal switch huh? That sounds like a pain in the *** V6. I hope that's not the case.
Here is my full problem: First off, it is not the bulb.
okay, when my lights are on, the left tail light is dimmer than the right. when the lights are on, the left brake light doesn't work. When the lights are off, the brake light does work, but sometimes it won't (it's very strange). That's basically it. I know it's not the bulb because I tried putting the left one in the right fixture and it worked perectly.
that sounds like it could be a partial short or a partial open, circuit as well.
kinda hard to troubleshoot over the net :(

holy crap! It is the turn signal switch. If it's in the uppoer position it's fine, all brake lights work (the driver's side brake lights are fune, but the other 2 are dimmer) but if the lever is a little down, the left brake light doesn't work anymore. How the hell? Does anyone know how to install a new singal switch?
Hey everyone! I've been trying to remove my transmission for two days now! I need to replace the clutch. Only thing I've got left holding the transmission...
