  • Parking light/turn signal bulb replacement

Has anyone done this? Seems like it would be a pain to get to the bulbs to change them but its something I have to do... Any helpful hints?

I've done this a couple times, because Ive changed from orange to white to Blue..This is basically like this.. There is a black cover on the bottom and there is like about 10 screws take those out and you need to jack the car up where you can get under there and if you have long arms its easy just stick your arms up there and change them...Dont touch the bulb from experience, if you do touch it make sure you wipe with some rubbing alcohol.. Is it a Camaro? Some Camaros have a little flap on the plastic dust shield right in front of the drivers side front tire...you can do it through there...i dont know if they have this on the passenger side though.

If it is a firebird, pop the hood, raise the headlights, and you can sometimes reach the bulb from there.

If the above two fail: you will have to jack the car up, remove the front wheel/tire and take off the plastic wheel well to access the signal. It has about 50 screws and bolts holding it in and is an all around pain in the *** to take off and even moreso to put back on.

      Good Luck

I thought "don't touch the bulb" usually applied to non-sealed beam headlight bulbs (ie, 98-02 Camaros, most imports)

yeah that's mainly for a halogen bulb because they get so hot.. a regular incandecent bulb isn't that big of a deal

              My commetns are similar:

              - Firebird lights are easily reached if you make the headlights go up.

              - Don't touch the glass of any halogen bulbs; oils from your skin may cause failure due to heat.
I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
