I bought an autogage Tach with shiftlight. I have it mounted and have power and ground all hooked up, but I am having trouble finding the tach lead. On the engine tech page it gives information for the pinouts up to 2001. Did anything change for 2002 because I cannot find a white wire on a clear bank anywhere underneath the glovebox. Any assistance would be appreciated.

I tried that one last night and it did not work, unless I was using the wrong blue wire harness, which is entirely possible. On the tech page, it has a white wire with the description "engine speed" at pin 8 on a clear bank. Would that be the one to go for, or am I reading it wrong?Current Mods: SS Rims, CPR Boxed LCAs, Whisper Lid, SLP Underchin Ram Air, Pro 5.0 Shifter, 235/60/15 BFG DRs, Monster Tach w/ shift light, posi w/3.23

Future Mods: Ultra-Z hood, 4.10s, Y-pipe back exhaust, !CAT, Battery Relo, Custom programming

Does anyone else have any ideas on this problem? We are hoping to have this figured out tonight.

The ignition control module sits underneath the coilpacks, correct?
We may have to try that instead, because the wire we thought was right on the PCM obviously was not.

Ok, we found the correct wire.
Like Matt said, pin 54 on the blue connecter closest to the firewall on the passenger side of the engine bay is the correct tach lead.
(Craig was being dumb and looking inside the car)

There is one inside the car....just below the firewall entrance by the glove box....I believe its out of a blue connector. I used it for my tach calibrator.98 Bright Red Camaro
Too many mods to list....check my website
