  • Body Swap

I want to drive a car that looks like mine but with an ls1 in it. If I bought a z28 conv., how difficult would it be to switch the bodies on both cars. You can see my car if you click on the sig. I could exchange the hood,GFX,and wing. Then I don't know if I could switch anything else or I might have to have some painting on both cars done. Then I'll sell the 6.

car looks sweet....why not just put the v8 in your car more logical then switchin the bodies...it will consist of more work prolly to switch the body then the engin cuz ur still gonna have to re run the wiring harness, on both vehicles causing twice the work...why not just put the engine in ur ride

If you are talking about just switching the body kit parts over to a 98-02 z28, it should be pretty easy. An actual full body swap is impossible due to the fact that it is a unobody car, not body on frame.

A motor swap from a 3.8 to an LS1 isn't too hard for someone who is mechanically inclined, do a search on here - I know there are several people who have done it. Doing the motor/tranny swap will also be cheaper than buying a whole car.
