I had a bad EGR diagnosed a couple months back and couldn't see spending $400 to get it fixed.
I will get a SES light when driving on the freeway...it stays solid until I stop the car and restart it about 3-4 times. So after 3-4 trips, it goes away. Don't know if the following problem could be tied in with the EGR...
About two weeks ago, I noticed the car would stutter and hesitate under accelleration. City speeds, no problem. However, at high way speeds if take my foot off the gas, let it cruise, then give it some gas, sometimes it will hesitate. I personally don't know if its a lack of fuel or a transmission prob. I had a valve body replaced a year ago (A4) and fuel filter changed a little over a year ago.
I have an appointment next week at the dealership (car under extended warranty)...
