I'm seventeen and my dad is out of town and I parked my Firebird for the winter, and now it's gorgeous out (springtime) and my mom and I have no idea how to put the battery back in...if anyone can tell me how, I'd appreciate it.

I changed mine a couple weeks ago. I'm assuming it's the exact same on Camaros and Firebirds, but I don't know for sure. It's actually very simple. Put the battery back into its postion. There's a bolt that you have to secure the battery with. If you're facing the car head-on from the front, the bolt will go on the far side of the battery, towards the bottom. Once it's bolted down, you can connect the power cables. Connect the black one first, I believe it's the one on the left. Once it's connected, you can then connect the red cable. Be sure when you're connecting the red cable that you don't touch the wrench to anything metal when the wrench is also touching the cable, or you could get shocked. But other than that, it's real simple. I don't think I'm forgetting anything...
You may want to wait until your dad gets home to have him watch you the first time you do it, just in case.

That's very dangerous. If the wrench touches ground when you're connecting the hot lead, hundreds of amps will be shorted to ground. Forget shock, you're likely to get burned.

I usually have to double, triple my headlight switch for them to come up on my 97 Firebird. I cleaned all connections. Could it be the headlight switch...
