Had the cylinder #3 misfire diagnosed...dealership said "$650 for new wires/plugs and fuel filter".
I told them to shove it.
I saw a OBD II scanner/clearer on eBay for like $50...just to see the code and clear it. Not as fancy as a AutoTap. Are these any good or just cheap crap?
If I'm getting a SES due to the misfire, if I change the wires and plugs will the SES stay on or do I have to clear it? Thanks guys!
If you fix what it is, then reset your computer(remove - or + off battery for a while) it should go off. ( i think) It worked for me once. Anyways I would try that before I spent money on a tool to clear it.
just change your plugs and wires and get new fuel filter. The computer should reset by itself once you drive your car for about 5 mins, or at least thats what mine does. Otherwise just take it to Autozone and they will reset it for you. Good luck.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
