  • Kenne Bell Boost a pump?

Came across this the other day and found it somewhat interesting...http://www.lingenfelter.com/store/kb89068.html

anybody had any experience with something like this? I mean there is one for N/A cars and one for S/C, turbo'd cars...kinda neat, must do something...or is it another scam?

    1996 3800 Camaro - 13.43 @ 100.77 mph

James ran one for quite some time on his nitrous bird.
It increases voltage to the fuel pump allowing it to push more fuel.

If you have tested the car and are not running lean or don't plan on any power adders like S/C or nitrous it isn't needed.

Thats what I thought...but then why have one for power adders, and one for naturally aspirated. I mean if your using this to benefit from it your going to most likely need to tune...therefore if u were running lean you could tune to run richer?

You can tune to ritchen the fuel mixture, but you can't control the output of the fuel pump if the pump is struggling to keep up with the fuel the computer is commanding. That is where the boost a pump comes into play or replacing the fuel pump with a higher volume pump or both in some extreme cases.
