I'm still having problems starting my car. Once I try turning it over for a couple of seconds, I pull the key back to the starting position. Once I do that my gauges spike all the way up really quickly and come back down. Anyone ever experience this? My buddy had a 99 camaro that did the same thing. His battery was pretty shot and I had to give him a jump...after I did it never did it again.
So I dunno...maybe you've got a bad battery...I know that was his problem.Shawn<br />2002 Silver W68 Firebird -

Mine did that when the battery was low (opening and closing the top and listening to the radio with the engine off), jumped it and its been fine ever since. You may not necessarily need a new battery.01 Camaro A4 ConvertibleComment

When this happens, the gauge cluster had a power reset (no power, power applied). Happened to me once when the batt was bad, and once a month later. Search for the thread where I complain about having to "reboot my car" by unhooking and reattaching the battery before it would do anything.

I had the same problem a couple of weeks ago.
