Mine does the same thing. I think the only thing to be worried about is if it just starts jumping around erratically like mine did before my oil pressure sender failed and started spewing Mobil 1 all over the front of my engine last year. (I still smell a light scent of burnt oil from my exhaust manifold when I park the car after a bit of hard running.)

If you're really concerned that you'r getting bad readings, you can find a new sender (aka sensor) at a local auto parts store for not very much money. Be careful. I fouhnd 2 ddifferent models in my search. One was pretty cheap (~$10 - $15), the other was somethng like $50. I can't re4member the brands though, sou you'll have to do a bit of calling around or googling just to be sure.

yes, it is normal.. higher rpm=higher pressure, its simple.

your oil pressure should be at 60 at 2k RPM

        ....x2

the more the engine is turning then the more pressure the oil is experiencing... if the pressure is low at higher rpms or below 20 at idle then you will have a problem... but your fine.

I have a 95 Maro with a 3.4 and at full operating temperature I idle at 10 psi and hovers around 35 till 2K where it rises to 40 pounds. When cold it reads constant 45.

I might want to fix mine. My oil pressure is showing a bit normal than it used to. It really bugs me.
