What oil

Hi,
When i bought the car the oil pressure was 60. I made the oil change with mobil 10w40 (in france there is no 10w30) and filter is fram.

Now my oil pressure is 50 so do you think i need to put a delco filter and what oil viscosity? 5w30?

Does the pcv valve could decrease the oil pressure?

ummm... Ok no offense, but its really hard to understand what u are talking about. Your oild pressure went down, from having a thicker oil put in?? 10w40 should be alittle thicker then 10w30 or 5w30
. Since it will stay thicker when your car gets hotter, I wouldnt worry about your oil pressure to much unless it gets below 30 or above 80 psi.

peace. 5w30 and 10w30 is reccomend viscosity oil. 5w40 or 10w40 will "help" benefit low oil pressure.

dont use fram filters, they suck.. use either the pf47 or the pf52 from ac delco

your pressure is fine, from what ive been told gm cars are fine with oil pressures into the high single digits at idle.

stay with what is recommended for the car which should be 10w30

I'm a little worried because when i bought the car the pressure stays at 60 and 4 month later it's 50.

the oil is probably breaking down and loosing its "thickness".

The oil has only 1500k but i will change it with 5w30 and delco filter.
