Ok, for some time, I have read MANY about people wanting to change the PCM, speed limiter, cooling fan turn on temp, gear ratios, A/F, timing, etc, etc.
I am posting this to get a feel of the interest in this product. I know the people working on this(actually I am working on another project with them). I told them about how you Fbody guys want one, and currently do not have any other option. They have told me that if there is interest, they will do it.
They will soon be offering it for the L67 here is it is pasted from them. You can get some/all of these features for the L36. If you are seriously interested, please post here and any questions you may have. I need to know if you are serious, what changes you would like, and what cost you consider reasonable. I am pretty sure it will be cheaper than other options on the market.
They may develop something for the 3.4 if there is enough interest.
Please do not consider this SPAM, this is just a post to gauge interest, and to get the ball rolling if you desire.

New Power Control Module (PCM) products from Digital Horsepower, Inc.
Digital Horsepower is nearing production for it's first model of a comprehensive line of PCM products for 1998-current Pontiac Grand Prix GTP and Buick Regal GS vehicles.
Future products are scheduled for:
· 1997 GTP
· 1997-2002 Grand Prix GT
· 1996-2001 Pontiac Bonneville
· 1997 Buick Regal
· Most other 3800-powered C, H, G, and W-bodied GM cars.
Digital HP is also well versed at 1988-95 OBD1 3800 cars and can provide custom calibrations for nearly ANY 3.8 liter GM V6 Engine!
Focusing on the cutting edge of technology, Digital Horsepower can modify the following engine control parameters:
- Spark tables and related parameters
- Speed limiters
- RPM limiters (including idle level control, redline settings, etc.)
- All transmission parameters (including final gear ratio)
- Diagnostic Trouble Code removal/adjustments (including elimination of SES light on an individual DTC basis... perfect for that pesky P0300 code with owners of cams)
- MAF tables and related parameters
- Engine Fan control
- Torque management
- And much more……
The goal at Digital HP is to provide a PCM for the right application/customer. In order to achieve this goal Digital HP will be releasing the “Recipe PCM” for Grand Prix’s.....
Digital Horsepower Recipe PCM’s
Recipe PCM’s are created by the customer’s input. A web-enabled form will be offered that contain popular Grand Prix modifications. Based on the customer’s selections, a PCM with the appropriate calibration code will be sent (along with a dyno tested engine and wheel HP result graph).
For example, a common issue with 3800 engine builders is the occurrence of SES lights being set. For such modifications (i.e. cams or other idle affecting items) the customer simply selects the use of an aftermarket cam on the form. The result? A dynamometer tested calibration that not only disables the SES light from being activated, but also a raised idle to fix the roughness!
Digital Horsepower Custom PCM's
Ready for the ultimate level of performance? Do you have a custom application for a 3800 series engine? Installed a “mild” cam and found out you are throwing SES lights (yes they can shut that off)? Digital HP has THE solution:
Digital Horsepower has the ability to CUSTOM program PCM's for owners with Extensive engine and transmission modifications. For the interim they are taking customer requests on a case by case basis and would GREATLY prefer to do programming "In Person".
Digital Horsepower's first PCM product will be for 1998-current Grand Prix GTP and Buick Regal GS cars and shall offer the following:
- Minimal calibration changes for owners looking to simply enhance basic PCM functions. Timing and Air Fuel changes are held to a minimum while items like Shift Points, Fans, and Speed Limiters will be included for this budget-priced PCM."
