  • MSD Ignition Box

Is the MSD Ignition Box worth getting if I am running a modified motor. I have a 1994 3.4L with cam, heads, headers, exhaust etc. Just wondering if it is worth the money for a better spark. I have the taylor wires and accell coils now with bosch platinum 4's. The rest of my mods are on my web pade at http://www.cardomain.com/id/rsjay.

It's supposed to help the 3.4 a lot more than it helps the 3.8.

I'll be putting mine up for sale in Feb...

There was a review of it in the modifications review section of this site, but I can't find it now. It was done by Bill Spano.

It will definitely help your 3.4L V6 considering that you have heads and a cam. Consider switching to some MSD coils though if you get it because the Accel coils do not really "agree" with the MSD. For some reason, I had 4 Accel coils burn up with I put the MSD on.

It will help a little. It will definitely help gas mileage if nothing else.

is the MSD 4 worth the 400 dollars for the 3.8? What kind of difference would it make to my take off?
