  • Gas Mileage

ok, i just payed 25 bucks of gas on a quater of tank, and its 2 bucks and 19 cents here. my v6 has the worst gas mileage i have ever seen, and all i have done to it, was home made ram air, and removed MAF screen! i can notice the needle moving down, after i go atleast a mile, i need to check how many miles i go on a tank, because this does not seem right. any body got any tips to help gas mileage besides driving in higher gears, im also ordering a SLP loud mouth exhaust.

I wish I could help you out but I am no better. The highest gas mileage I have seen on my car has been 18 mpg on a 60 mile trip to the beach.

Get a bike man, gas prices are only going UP!!! I thought we went to war to stop gas inflation....amongst other things? Viper?
Oh, check things like ya plugs, wires, tire pressure, PCV, exhaust set-up and so forth. I can't remember who, but a guy just posted some numbers about his MPG and it's aroung 32. You may get some additional info on how he accomplished it.

on a all highway trip I can get about 480 to 500 miles out of a tank if I stay out of it. The hypertech 3 on the economy mode changed my average gas mileage from 26 mpg to 34 mpg doing between 75 and 85 mph. I agree with the bike comment I get about 50 mpg driving normal on my bike and about 35 if I am stunting or hauling ***

I'm getting about 21-22MPG in the city, after changing out my plugs/wires and Seafoaming. Next up is the oil/filter/PCV Valve possibly tomorrow.

Ok then something is definately wrong with mine. I'm not sure of my mileage but I get around 160-170 miles on an entire tank. Now THAT sucks. However it almost all city driving.

I changed my plugs and noticed a little dif but not much. I'm on a 3.4, what else could it be?
