not sure where its at, but it is around your butterfly valve in the throttle body.

and it lets the car know the position of your throttle

ok well the reason i ask is because when ever im in my car and lets say im going 30 mph my cars rmp go crazy jumping from 2 to 3 back to 2 and so on but if i let off the gas or press the gas it stops. and it only does it when i stay at one speed for a certain amount of time. some one told me it sounds like the tps what do yall think

are you sure its not your transmission downshifting/upshifting due to the road?

Are you just cruising and it doing that, constant speed with foot on pedal? I dont think its your tps, how often was your last tune up? Does it seem like its not running as good as it use to.

edit: im pretty sure your tps (if it was bad) would affect how it runs right after start up. If its your tps, your car would rev up and down after start up. If you put it in reverse, does it act like it takes off very fast? (hard to stop) Im am also pretty sure the trans wont up shift and downshift because of the road. It should only do it when the rpms change.

it only does it when im at a constant speed with foot on the pedal and it doesnt last very long my 20 sec but it will do it at any constant speed. i just had a tune up the car run perfect expcet for that. no its drive fine in reverse.

              maybe a maf sensor.

don't think that it's the tps. that would screw with your idle when your say...slowing down at a light or stop sign. could go from 800 rpm's down to say 400. and pick right back up. but i dont' think at a constant speed.

sorry to break it to you, but it might be your transmission slipping. Or your timing is rediculously off. try a tranny flush if u havent done one for a while.
