I got a 90 firebird and when i turn the ac on it doesnt work. ive check all the fuses under the dash and they all are good, if i put it on defrost and the heat up while im driving it will defrost the window and get warm in the car but if you try to make the air come out of the dash nothing happens.

check vacuum lines...you have a leak somewhere probably.1995 Firebird 3.4L<br /><a href=\"http://kansas.no-ip.com/\" target=\"_blank\">My Site</a> -
i know on 4th gens there is a vacuum line that connects into a T like fitting.. one goes to some place.. the other goes to the ac HVAC controller.
check there.. In 4th gens its passanger side engine bay right by the computer..

IS the system charged? IF not, the pressure switch will not allow the a/c to kick in. Also, if the pressure switch itself id FUBAR/d, it will not kick in. Where the a/c box is, trace the wires for the switch, disconnect it. Get some wire & umper it. Turn on a/c. If no coool/cold air then you need to charge system.1978 Formula 461 in progress of being built :rock:
