hey everyone, well i finally figured out where the smell of burning oil was coming from in my car. The oil pan gasket is leaking and oil is dripping down onto my exhaust [img]graemlins/crybaby.gif[/img] so. i have to get this fixed and i was going to do it myself but my fixit guide said i'd have to lift the engine and all that sort of crap, so has anyone had this done b4. i need to know how much it is going to cost... please help asap i wanna get this done as soon as possible so i don't have to be embarrased when i race someone and he pulls up next to me 5 minuets later and smell burning oil. It's probably the Rear Main seal instead, as mine was on my 97. Replaced the OPG for $350, sum***** still leaked ... replaced it once or twice more (free), and what can I say -- it leaks slightly less, but I still think my RMS is leakin' ... whaaatever.

I know the 3.8 is a little different than my 3.4, but how did you do it?
