I was wondering if anybody has the same problem or knows what this is but after i drive my car for about 10 minutes, the engine starts making a low pitch whining sound and i lose a lot of hoursepower. It takes a lot more gas to shift and feels like the car is about to crap out on me completely but never does. Its an automatic v6.

not sure, but it may have to do something with the mode it goes into after the engine warms up

any ses lights? you can start with...let it warm up and then check all the fluids(coolants, oil etc) then start to check the ign. that is a place to start.

I had a Dodge Ram that did the same thing, would start up fine and run for a few minutes. Then you had to hold it to the floor and beg it to move. The catalytic converter was completely full and was bogging down the motor. You still have the stock cat?

Mine does the same. It could just be the overdrive kickin in to get you better gas mileage. The cat could also be crappin out on ya. Im replacin mine soon. hopefully it will help

if the cat was shot, it would be doing it all the time. but it could just be the start. how long has this been happening?

Its probably the cat. Mine did the same thing until it completely clogged. It won't really through codes until it is really clogged anyway. When it happened to me, i had to give it a ton of gas so the car would shift....i let it go for so long t started to sound lke an 8 bc the exhaust was so choked. I thought it sounded cool though lol. Take it to the dealer, they'll know whats going on right away.
