no sheesh from the dead. Probably from the bracing required to strengthen it up from the hardtop being cut.

For a T-Top VS hard top car, there is no extra bracing done.

For a Vert VS Hard top (Or t-top) yes, there is bracing, hence vert cars being heavier.

I would think that for the most part the T-Top should be just about dead even with the hard top. You lose part of the rail above each door with T-Tops, but you gain two glass pannels, vs the fiberglass roof.

I had a thread on this in the AX / RR forum. I was 3250 before some serious switches.

Since it's back from the dead, I guess I'll have my fun with it.

My Camaro on June 21, 2003, 10:51:01 AM officially weighed in at 3400 lbs (1/2 tank of gas) according to the Tennessee Department of Safety Commercial Vehicle Enforcement! :D

3505 with driver and 1/4th tank of gas in full street trim as I drive it every day, so about 3325 without me in it.

3600 pounds and change with me and 3/4s of a tank of gas, and nothing else in it.

Go to a rock quarry, and if they're a pain about it, go buy a few pounds of rocks (they're cheap). They weigh your car before and after.

3219, full street trim + stereo. absolutely ZERO options on my car except for the automatic transmission, that cut down on a LOT of weight!
