My car has been heating up REAL bad. Gets to the red line, then backs off a little...back up...then backs off. I checked the coolant, empty. Fill it up and she's as good as new. This cycle has happened 3 times now, so it's obvious I have a leak. It takes like 2-3 weeks for the entire radiator/expansion tank to be bone dry. Are there any common cooling system leaks I should know about? Intake manifold gasket? Water pump weephole area? What are some quick and easy tests I can do? Thanks guys.

i was having that same problem, and it was this 90 degree elbow pipe that connects to the belt tensioner assembley and to the block. it is located in the center of the engine right under the intake back in this cubby hole.. whose to say that this is the problem you are having, but worth the look..it could be alot of other things also, but i hope this helps you, good luck1997 Camaro RS

3\" Flowmaster Exhaust,Pacesetter headers,Catco Cat,Cold Air Intake,Clear bumper lights altezzas,chrome rear bumper letters,chrome badges, headlight conversion kit(soon to come),2 12 MTX Thunder 8000, MTX 6500d amp, Fosgate 1 farad cap

if worst comes to worst, pull the radiator out some day, dry it off, and fill that bad boy with water, and check for leaks in the resivours in the side. Im not sure if we have plastic resivours or metal, but if its plastic, you are gonna need a new radiator. Metal ones can be patched with JB weld.
