How much power would it take to make the front end come off the ground when you start to race like ya see it in the movies? ;)

I'd say 800-900 HP and 1000LBS touque.

Stock as you are all you need is skinnies and high stall and 3.73s. Take as much weight from the front. They will come up an inch, but will come up.

For the movies though, 500hp. 422ci LS1s do it easily up to 2 or 3 feet.

Actually it is not just about power.
Weight transfer, weight location/ relocation, dead hooking, big converter etc etc etc

I have to agree with 12sec, on that one also pinion angle plays a role.
