well i am not sure what to call it. Its the plastic piece that holds the tail light bulb. Its white with some metal inside it. I want to know where i coudl buy this. My right side reverse light and my right side tail light are almost burnt. The light doesn't light up high, they are very low and these are new bulbs i just put in.
where can i purchase these??
I'm pretty sure those parts would have to be bought from GM..but to save money i would check your local junk yards.
1997 3.8 30th Anniversary Edition
SLP Cold Air Induction
Flowmaster with duel tips
Bosch Platnum Plugs
MSD wires
and a nice dent on the front left...thanks Petr Shedran!
...more mods to come!
You could get it at the dealer, but if you have a AC AutoElectric locally, check there...you won't get the price markup. It always helps to try NAPA too.

You might be able to get one from your local parts store. I know at Advance we carry alot of the bulb sockets, but casn't remember if we have the ones for our brake lights or not.

just my luck, the other bulb socket on the right side seems to like burning out bulbs, this is the third one that its been burnt in the past year. I will try the dealer and tellyou guys how it tursn out. From waht i see i might have to cut the cables and then tape them or something to the new socket.
I had the same problem with a front turn signal. The bulb housing got so hot it blew the bulb and charred the socket. I had to get a new socket from the dealer (ouch) and just splice it into the existing wiring. No more problems.
