  • weak spark on cylinder number 1

Hey what's up... I have a weak spark on cylinder number 1 and I can't seem to figure out what's causing it. I tried changing out the coil, changing the ICM, plugs and wires. Also, I found a sensor on the front of the engine and disconnecting it doesn't seem to make a difference.

How do you know the spark is weak?

If the spark is weak on No. 1 why isn't it also weak on No. 4? (they share the same coil)

The only thing I can think of is that there must be a higher resistance in the ground for spark No. 1. Run a thread cleaner through the spark plug boss to ensure it's clean. Also, double check wire conductivity (resistance) and connections at coil and plug (make sure the wire "clicks" into place). And check all engine ground wires and straps to ensure clean connections.
