This will probably sound stupid.. mostly because i barely know jack about the fuel system but... Could your line be pinched or clogged somewhere? I don't exactly know how a fuel pump works but if its how I imagine then if there is a pinch or clog it wouldn't be able to output like it should. Eh then that could explain why you're only getting enough fuel to reach 3500.. I don't know. Run seafoam? Heh like I said, I have no idea how a fuel system works. If I'm wrong then hey, its just another idea and I will personally learn more. As for you, I hope it gets fixed cause I'd cry if it happened to me.

Thats what im thinking is the cat... need to find someone to check my fuel pressure and see if its normal. But yeah thats the only thing i can think of is the cat it just feels like everything is soo restricting. Cause now its fine in low rpms no problems at all car doesnt really fall on its face anymore, it just seems like at 3 grand and up shes had enough and the second i shift she takes off again. I rode it for about 20 minutes and look under the cat and smoke was just rolling off right from the cat well not smoke but heat, and nowhere else in the exhaust it was. Any ideas on a hi flow cat i can get that will bolt up right directly to the factory cat, same oxygen sensor and everything so i wont have to adjust anything. Unfortunately everything seems to be welded from when i had my catback flows installed. I believe its a 3 inch in and 2 and a half out from what i can tell.

Well finally got it all figured out. My cat was pretty much shot. The fuel pressure has gone up after the fuel pump was replaced. But talking to a flowmaster tech he informed me that when you run a car very very lean (was running at like 15 psi to get it to shops to figure out whats wrong) that it kills the cat. About 4 months ago a rattling started and it was the start of the cat going bad. It sounded like a loose heatshield or something but it was actually the cat. And my fuel pump going bad finally killed it off. Had a hi flow flowmaster cat put on and not only did it fix the problem with improvement but it sounds awesome (definately cant wait for headers). Hope this helps anyone out having the same problem or will in the near future thanks for the help everyone!

Congrats on the fix. Do you have a catback already installed, or just the hiflow cat?
