-race fuel will hurt me... probably fry my CAT and O2s... only woudl help maybe if I advanced the piss out of my timing but not happening on our 3.8Ls without comptuer programing...

-Already inflated the fronts ot abotu 46 psi...

-defalting the rears will hurt me... I am on street tires... if you deflate them that low, the center will collapse in and the sidewall will remain stiff, if you were to do a burnout with the tires that diflated you will see that it jsut will leae 2 black markds on the outside where the stiff sidewalls are because the tires are too deflated.

I ran 30 psi on hte rears and hit a 2.117, 2.106 60'... on crappy track prep with the open diffy, so better off running normal plsi on street tires.. not overly defaliting them unless they have really soft sidewalls.

Inform me why you would want to do that on our engine.

I imagine it would do more harm than good.

race fuel will change PCM settings for driving style and gas type, and advance the timing accordingly.

      more timing = more power

Will it advance timing because it's sensing detonation??

(sorry bout my questions...i haven't taken drivability in auto yet)

          dude...

I think a FRA with the air box still on replaceing the baffle with a pvc pipe would get you better air, your under hood temps will be going straight into the engine with no lid.

over all with lid and FRA i think you would get better intake temps.

Have you messed with your intake temp sensor yet. if not. put your sensor in a cup of ice. it will tell your engine your intake temp is cold and will advance the timing I think.

I actually set the IAT between ice bags in the stanging lanes, I have noticed no difference...

yeah I know a piece of tubing will help with better air but my goal at the moment is $0, not buying anything for the car, those mods will come later.

Next oil change use synthetic oil. 5W-30 instead of 10W-30 might help also.

see how 02 sims work and see if you can make one yourself from scratch.

Because the PCM on a GTP varies timing depending on operating conditions you can make the PCM give you more timing than normal by doing something very simple before you go to drag race or have your car dyno'd.

Make sure you are very close to empty and put your race gas in before you go to the track.

Vary your driving on your way and make sure you have about an hour of drive time with the race gas. This will cause the PCM to give you unheard of amounts of timing yielding you up to 25hp at the dyno or the drag strip.

Autotap tested and confirmed, this is the best tip you could ever have for improving your #s.

ehh jsut not a big weight reduction type of guy...

I know some of the stuff I do is not street worthy, but I can go from full street trim to everyday driving setup in less then 1.5 minutes(timed myself)

If it was easy stuff(less then 2 horus to do) I might consider it if it woudl put me in the 13s.

im tellin you, octaine booster or race fuel.

the computer will advance the timing itself.

just wondering...what will it sense that'll advance the timing?? There isn't an "octane sensor"

Does the PCM just get input from the knock sensor as detonation occurs from the higher octane?
