Could be alot of things.
First, check the alternator, and/or check how your headlights look at night. If they are dimming really low, your alternator is probably going south and causing the window to move as slow as they do.
Second, the window motor(s) may be on their way out.
Third, take the door panels off and re-grease the window tracks. I had the same problem as you are describing and I removed the panels and greased the window tracks, and the windows go up-n-down just fine now.

Merlin it's easy to SOME! I pulled my old door pannel off and was like screw this! but then I saw how to do it and realized it was easy. My problem was I couldn't reach the screws holding it in and didn't think of drilling a couple small holes above them instead of reaching for them.
the REALLY fun part is putting those door pannels back on  a word of advice.... take the door pannel completely off and start with the bottom hooks first. Why GM decided to make a one piece door pannel held on entirely by christmas tree hooks is beyond me :rolleyes:1994 Camaro 3.4L M5 R.I.P.
You know what they say- a small engine means big... errr... e/t\'s
www.pbase.com/rrj72/the_accident
replaced with: red 97 A4 vert (my brothers as soon as i find my REAL replacement)
soon to come: 1969 RS/SS
\"All you need are the esentials: scented candles, massage oil, and Berry White write that down.\" -Van Wilder

Yep, mine got slow all of the sudden to. I think its a combo of the car sitting for 3 months, and this cold weather. Well, I don't open the window much now, cuz its so cold. but in the next few weeks I'll pull my door panels off, and grease the tracks. I'm pretty sure this should fix it, seeing as though, before winter and my acident they were just fine.1997 Cayenne Red Metallic Camaro
3.8 V6 M5
SLP Cold Air Intake
Ceramic Coated Pacesetter Headers
Flowmaster American Thunder Catback
Full 3.42 & Disc Break Rear End Swap

My passenger window motor went out last year and I just replaced it this past summer. I bought a motor from AutoZone but like everyone says, its GM thats the problem. My passenger window is the same speed as my driver and sometimes when its almost all the way up it slows down a little. So i guess we shoudl just get used to slow windows unless someone knows a brand of window motors that will give us fast windows.2005 Chevrolet Corvette C6
M6, Magnaflow\'s 14336
C6 Pics

Old car:
1996 Firebird A4
SLP Cold Air Intake
Magnaflow Catback Exhaust
Magnaflow Catalytic Converter

George Mason University
CEIE Major
Pi Kappa Alpha

Firebird Pics

or you could have my windows that at times just stop working, then you have to wait a few secs to roll it up more. And so on and so on... its so annoying because theres no method to when it happens, its just random.1998 Firebird 3.8, A4
Mods: Alum Ds, Yank TC 2800 stall, Rksport lid, FTRA, SLP air temp sensor, K&N, Flowmaster catback 2.5\" w/cutout, 3:42 gears w/LSD
Best E/T: 15.6 @ 86 mph (w/o gears / lsd or verter)
Best 60: 2.234
www.teamfoxfire.iwarp.com -- club site
To come?: l67 piston package hardened, turbo? spray? low 12\'s? well see

Same problem here, windows slowing down and a thump-thump-thump sound on the passenger side to boot. Since the car was 3 months old, took it into the dealer. They greased the moving parts and everything was fine.
Think my bird was underlubed, because my headlights were squeaking when they went up/down as well, and I had the dealer grease those at the same time.

The last car I had with crank windows was my 81 Mustang. You actually have to like turn this handle thingy around and around, right?
Seriously though: is it possible to put a better / faster window motor in there?I solemnly swear I am up to no good.
