  • Low Oil?

I have a 2000 Camaro and the oil gauge is a hair under 60 and My low oil light came on. Is this something I should be concerned about ???

    Re: Low Oil?

The low oil light is referring to low oil level, not low oil pressure.

Check your oil level using the oil dipstick. If it is full then you most likely have a faulty oil level sensor. The sensor is mounted into the side of the oil pan and is simple to change.

    Post your findings.

my low oil light has been on since i got my 95...i just ignore it, as i know i have oil because, with 204,000 miles, i check my oil every other day to check for changin levels...

just watch ur level, and ull be fine. 9/10 its the sensor
