Ok, I have Severe Starting issues with a 2000 Camaro Five speed. It Starts up fine when not driven for a while. When you just got done with say, a ten min drive. I can turn it off, then when i got restart it. It wont crank at all, I can hear the fuel pump prime, and the battery is good. Well, Today i went for a drive to check out a 02 WS6 and after that i went to a friends house. I turned it off and went inside, maybe 20 min later i went to leave and it wont crank, it will prime and we did try jumping it, no luck. I waited a little to see if it will start, no luck. also sometimes, it will take mutiable times of turning the key just to get it to start. It does it when its cold and it does it when its hot. Please help me, I need this fixed fast due to its my only car. I am completly dumb founded on this issue. thanks again.

Check to see if the starter geting power when you try to start your car. Then back track from there.

get your security system checked out, and then see if autozone can check to see if your coil control module is still good.

On another car, one time I had something wrong with the starter solenoid, and it was intermittent. It ended up being that the terminal on the solenoid was loose or broken, I don't remember now. I would try checking the starter. If, when it does crank, it turns over nice and quick, it's probably not your battery.

Update*** It turns out after tons of testing and messing around, that it is the secerity system. I notice the times it wont start is when i turn the key the sec. light stays on, then turns off and when it turns over it just...doesnt turn on. Would blowing some compressed air (computer cleaning air) into the key hole Clean up the connectors between the ignitation and key? and..What does a new ignitation cost?? Thx for the replys guys and gals.
