  • Side windows leak/ttop leak?

My driver's side window leaks horribly, between the weather stripping and the actual window glass. The window doesn't seem to go all the way into the rubber to make the seal, I can run my finger between the glass and the rubber, there's atleast centimeter between the two. I don't know if my window isn't rolling up all the way (mostly on driver's side, but also on pass. side) I took her through the automated car-wash a week after I bought it last january, and boy did I get wet.

Is my stripping bad? Is my window f'ed up? What's the deal? :(

how old is the car, if its on both windows im sure its just the weather stipping. Its jest old and dry im sure.

It's a 1997 Camaro, forgot to mention. I thought it would be the weather stripping, but wasn't sure... is it easy enough to replace? I'll probably order new stripping.

My 94 kinda does the same thing, though not as bad.
I discovered the top of the window is being pushed out by the t-top.I found that if I close the door by pushing at the top of the window, it will clear and seal better. When I get inside, I have to lower the window about 1/4 inch and it will pop inside. Then I just raise it back and it seals. Obviously the window or door needs some adjustment.I'm just too lazy to attempt it. There was a link to a really good adjustment post someone made here a while back.I will see if I can locate it or someone else may have it.

Thanks for the help, that very well could be the problem, but the solution doesn't work. No matter how I try to manually adjust my door, ttop, or window, there's still the gap. Thanks for the input, that post would be great if you could find it.

my bird and old malibu do that. With the window having to line up with the molding sometimes it gets out of line. Best thing to fix it is re aline it, but i just push the window instead of door, or crack the window before closing the door. Be carefull, i broke the window on my old car when my dad slammed the door and the window busted.

                    That should do it.
