we got the cam and all in and it sounds really pissed. if you want a radical sounding cam go for the statamma stage 2 it makes your car with open headers sound like a small block pro stock. swe are running into problems with eliminating the ac since there is not a belt that is the correct size at any auto parts store. we are thinking of putting in a larger idler pulley which may take the slack of the 827k6 belt out and let the tensioner do the work. any advice from anyone?

Keep looking, my parts supplier has the belt...? They have every belt for that matter...every half inch increment. And I personally have deleted the a/c....it was my buddies camaro. Looked a lil strange, but we def did it!

i ended up taking the compressor, did an electic water pump and changed the pullie that is on top of the comp. into a ripped pullie, measured up the new belt size and bam i was done lol

I've been contemplating removing the AC in the Bird. (It doesn't work anyway...>.>) What kinda difference does it make?

well less for your belt to go around and you lose the weight

I don't know the exact size but there is a belt that will fit a stock v6 with an AC delete. I have seen it in person.

i ended up using a 825 k5 so i am not using one of the ribs but it shouldn't matter. you free up a few horses and get rid of the front end vehicle weight by removing it. it may help with understeer that i am sure everyone here has noticed due to the mass so far away from the mass centroid axis. long story short lightr and easier to turn but probably not too noticeable. i removed it to make room for the exhaust piping that is going to the turbo. thanks to everyone for your responses
