question about fuses

on my fuse panel for my 98 y87 camaro 3.8 the number 3 fuse and the number 13 fuse are both listed as "STG WHL CTRL" and both have a 1A rating. However, I have neither fuse in my fuse panel. There are spots for both, and neither one has any fuse in it. All my other fuses are there except these two.

I was wondering is that only for future camaro's that had the radio buttons on the steering wheel? And, why would they have put those fuse spots on a 98 when no 98 camaro came with buttons on the steering wheel? Is it because they figured a later model would have them or something.

Or am I totally off?

I could be wrong but maybe the LS1 models used the same pattern as V6's. Trans Ams had steering wheel radio controls in that year.

So the two 1A fuses are for the steering wheel controls such as volume/tuner etc.?

Steering wheel radio controls came on different firebirds and camaros. GM just made a general fusebox for every car though, so...That's why you don't have those two fuses
