Those of you with the Jet Chip Stage 2 for the 98 and newer firebird, do you actually like the chip, have you noticed a difference? I am seriously considering buying one now and i would like some immediate feedback. If i were to use just regular 89 octane gas, with my mods would it help me off the line and all? ;)

I love my Stage 2 Jet Chip. [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/thumbsup.gif[/img] I've had it for over 2 years now. To see the best gain it is best that you have a CAI, high flow cat and exhaust, 160 to 180 thermy(highly recommend this), manual fan switch(to keep your temp. at 160 or 180 with lower thermy). Doing the following updates will allow the Stage 2 chip to work a lot better than it would on a near stock Camaro or Firebird. Plus you would have to use 91+ octane. You can not use 89 octane with the stage 2. Hope this info helps you. [img]smile.gif[/img]2000 V6 Camaro(bought brand new)

Thanks guys, i dont think im going to get one, ive heard to many people say that dont really notice a diff, and with the gas prices here as high as they are i dont think i can afford 91 octane all the time. With a jet stage 2 you have to run 91 octain and its ment for a car thet has in aftermarkes intake and exhaust. JET says it could just be a Filter (i.e. K~N) and a muffler. it is soposed to lengethen injector pulse with and advance timming either 3 or 6 degrees i forgot. and it dont work tall above 1500RPM. Hope this info is helpfull to ya
