  • Pads rubbing?

So I put my bird up on jack stands earlier today in an attempt to change my oil. I happed to spin one of the front wheels and noticed that the front left doesn't spin as freely as I think it should. You can hear a light brushing sound as it spins. My only guess would be that the brake pads are lightly pressed against it. The right wheel does this too but spins much more freely and you can just barely make out a tiny brushing sound.

As I understand it. The emergency brake effects only the rear wheels (It was up). So is it what I think it is or is this for some reason normal? I don't notice a difference when driving.

Your E-Brake has absolutely nothing to do with the front wheels whatsoever.
If one of the front wheels is hard to turn (when raised), then you should be concerned. A slight dragging is basically normal. Once the dragging becomes excessively tight though, your probably going to have to:
    -Turn or replace the rotor(s)
    -Rebuild the front caliper(s)
    -Change the brake pads
-And while your at it, flush out the old brake fluid

Again, a slight dragging won't hurt anything. Even though one side may drag a bit more than the other, it doesn't mean there is a problem...yet!

As long as you can easly spin it with one hand theres nonthing to worry about. My car is the same way since i put my new pads on.
