gonna get new plugs this spring, what kind is best, (gap)?, im running 93 octane with a jet2 engine is always near 180.

is it a good idea to upgrade wires as well, or should i just make sure the stock ones are in good shape(no burn marks)? what kind? taylor pro?

thanks

Id go with new wires when u do the plugs, since its going to take u the time, might as well get all teh spark outta the new plug, cause it works the same way as a bad spark, a wire not delivering 100% is going to be as bad as a bad plug.

Unless you're going N20 or some major power adder, just get some "vanilla" type plugs. I bought Bosch Copper plugs ($0.99/each) and my friend bought plugs that were $6/each and well his car runs crappier and mine runs better.

Yep. I've made that 36 dollar mistake myself. I for one, really like the accel wires. 8mm, and if you're good, you can buy the universal set for about 30 bucks from an autoparts store. Just make sure you get the straight boot with 90* coil interfaces.
My current setup is those wires with bosch supers. I mean, so I might have to change spark plugs a few thousand miles earlier, but I'm spending 6 bucks for all six, not six bucks for one.

don't get Taylor wires, those are crap. i lost 10 days trying to make them work. get accel or NGK, you'll be much happier. even 7mm stock replacement is better.
