  • Heat went out

Well my heat went out and I don't feel like dropping $500 or so at a scam shop to have it fixed, what components will I need to replace and is it difficult to fix? What else could have caused it to fail? I can bring it to my family mechanic and hell fix it for like $50 if its not too hard. Let me know ASAP! Thanks!

i did the a/c delete. and usually when people do that and start to take stuff out, the heat goes with it. so i had to really fab up alot of stuff to keep the heat. rips out my whole interior last week.

                Re: Heat went out

it wouldn't be hard to replace yourself. the heater core is about 70 bucks. it's behind your pass side glove box.

remove kick cover, glove box(few screws under the box), then you will see a black plastic cover (kinda rounded) right there. take that off. then your core is right there.

                  Re: Heat went out

as she said... its right behind the glove box. only hard part is snaking the hard lines through the firewall, and sealing them back up. the heater core i bought didnt come with the new seal and they werent available separately, so i improvised. little bit of expanding foam (and when i say a little i mean a little) seals it right up.

it's a pain in the ***...there are a couple bolts that you need to get off that are kind of hidden so it will seem like its unhooked but magically still attached

                          good luck!
