The fuel pump in my car just kicked yesterday, and Im looking for a quality replacement. Two places quoted me at over 550 dollars just for the pump itself, but on all of the performance sites they are much cheaper, are the performance ones not suitable replacements? If they are will this one made by Holley work?
why not just get a stock replacement? are you running any mods? you can get an ac delco one for like $225 new or an off brand one for like $120 if you have the 3.4 ... the 3.8 is a little more expensive
its a 3.8 and the only mods I have are intake/lid, gears, headers, and catback and where could I even get a stock replacement? Pep Boys said 600 and the Chevy dealership around the corner said ~550 for stock replacement.
what the dealership is selling you is more than the pump. it is the pump and sender assembly with level sensor. on older cars like the 3.4 camaro you can get them separate the sender is like $400 and the pump is like $100, on the 3800 they come together so $500. still i think $500 is a bit much when you can get a walbro for so much cheaper.

Ok thanks everyone so far for all of the information, but I was looking at the TSP kit that comes with the walbro, and would that be all that is required? Because it does not appear to have a fuel level sensor?
