I have warped rotors and brake fade. I was gonna go with slotted rotors but I heard that they crack also. Guess I'll just go to an aftermaket blank and better pads

ok, sweet jesus. Slotted rotors and cross-drilled ones are better. Like everyone said, some slotted crack, some cross drilled crack. BUT, slotted ones MADE RIGHT, similar to the KVR ones i have on my car, the slots dont go all the way to the edge of the rotor, thus totally eliminating the chance of cracking. My slotted rotors work great. Cross drilled ones, like said, offer chamfered holes, reducing stress also. But, the holes also need to be in a swept pattern, to further reduce stress.
Basically, there is no way that anyone can tell you that slotted/cross drilled are useless. If this was the case, and "gasses" didnt build up, then any high-performance factory cars/ race cars wouldnt use them.
After the research i did on rotors when i needed new ones, for my price range i got slotted where the slots stop before the end of the rotor. very noticable difference, no brake fade, and no warping.
