can't you just flip the gear? If I remember correctly only half the gear gets used. If this isn't relavent then GM Parts direct lol00\' firebird v6 5spd<br />201rwhp ---- 230 rwtq<br />\"Everyday I grow stronger...and further from you.\"<br />WARNING: Do not take any of my comments seriously unless they are technical in nature and then only at your own risk

yes, only half the gear is used. take out the headlight motor and flip the gear around then seal it back up. if that doesn't fix the problem, try junkyards. and if you can't find any still, i highly suggest the brass ones from brent:

Classic Industries (www.classicindustries.com)also sells them - $38.95 each. Personally I would prefer to use Brent support F-Body brothers) but if you have to use a credit card then this is your next option.Black 1995 3.4 V6 Pontiac Firebird<br />17 X 9 O.Z Competition Wheels<br />CAI - Home Made<br />Catback - JC Whitney with a Walker Quiet-flow Muffler.<br />Jet Stage II PCM

Yeah...here's the headlight fix site (also by Brent Franker.

I already did this on my driver side and it worked...but my passenger side, I fear, will need the brass gear. I will go to brass on both sides to avoid the whole situation altogether next time. question...if the actual motor died...I suppose you could salvage the two gears out of the replacement motors and use them when the time comes, right?
