  • FAN turning on...

Ok i noticed that my car gets pretty hot (while stuck in traffic) pretty quick.. usually when i "stop and go" for about 10-15 mins.. short distances.. for one is it normal that it gets pretty hot pretty quick? secondly when exactly should the stock fan turn on? i noticed i have i think it was a 260 for HOT! then there was a notch under that, then half way, then a notch under that then COLD.. at what point should my fan turn on? cause i dont remember it coming on and it was getting pretty close to 260

Mine turns on at about 215. Maybe you should change your sensor. Is your car having any leak or pressure loss from the cooling system?
