on the 98's they didnt have the spring which is why you can only do the trunk latch mod for 99-02 models.
im about to buy a trunk latch assembly from a 99 camaro, will it work on my 98 so i can do the mod that adds the extra strength spring from lowes to make my trunk fly up when opened?
i basically just need to know if the trunk latch assembly is interchangeable from a 99-up down to a 98
