I'm looking to get an air compressor for home. Something strong enough to take lug nuts off.

    1/2" impact wrench needs about 4.0 SCFM @ 90psi.

    Looking at a Campbell Hausfeld 20 gal, 5.5 HP, 5.1 SCFM @ 90psi for $230 from ACE.

The closest spec Craftman is $440.

    Anyone have any other suggestions?

I got a $200.00 gift card to Harbor Freight for x-mas, and I'm buying this with it. I am using it for air tools and my HVLP SATA Spraygun.

I've got a DeWalt cordless impact and it's been great at lug nuts and suspension bolts. Price will be similar to the range you're looking at.

Dunno if the link works, but amazon carries an 18V one (300 ft-lb max) with 2 batteries for $267

Mine's the 14V version with about 120 ft-lbs and works fine, but not much less expensive than the 18v. Though it is a lot smaller which can help when doing suspension work. My boss picked one up after we did my coilovers at his place - we were using both my gun and his air gun, and he liked not having to hear the air compressor run all the time recharging the tank when using his.
