Basically i have to get to my windshield wiper motor, the wipers stay in the UP position when i turn them OFF and i hear there is a circular disk on top of the motor that often times gets pushed out of position, and i'm going to try to put it back in place. What is the process of taking the arms and cowle off? Funkz i believe u have a write up about this whole mess? could u plz send me a link. Thanks

Re: cowle removal? FunkZ help!
found this on another post. hope it helps
once you get the arm off by removing the bolt at the wiper base, you need to remove the black plastic retainers in the wiper cowl. If I'm not mistaken, you have to remove all of the black plastic retainers to get the left side up. I had to remove the wiper motor on my camaro. I didn't need a special tool to disconnect anything. If you're trying to remove the linkage from the motor itself, you can use a screw driver and pry it off. Trust me, it wont break. Oh, use wire cutters to gently pull up the centers of the plastic retainers, then remove the retainers and the cowl grilles. Hope this helps!
