Is it a pan gasket or rear main seal. My car's rear main is due for a fixing, again. The 3.8 doesn't like its rear seals. I have no idea what it costs, but oil is cheap yet.1995 Firebird 3.8 A4, 140,000 miles and going strong
Basically Stock, college=poor
Junior Mechanical Engineering Student: Milwaukee School of Engineering; Cpl, MN Army National Guard...just got promoted :)

Wow! I had the same thing in 2000.
The dealer tightened them without lifting the motor. Some bolt heads looked like very tight access though. I can not say for sure whether or not they got them all, but the leak stopped.--Traded In--
1998 Navy Blue Metallic Camaro (RS)
3.8L V6 w/4L60E Auto
Sport Appearance Package
T-Tops - Loaded
_ _ _ _ __________________ _ _ _ _

--New--
2003 Victory Red S10 Xtreme w/Silver Stripes
2.2 L4 w/MW2 5 Speed Manual
LS Package
