are the coil packs from all 98+ cars universal or are they year specific. i need to replace mine. are the MSD etc worth it?

They're all the same and can be interchanged. The MSD ones might be good, I haven't seen anyone use them yet.2002 5-spd NBM Camaro

Yup, they are all universal.
I experienced heat soak with Accel coil packs.

I ordered my MSD coils from my MSD vendor last week and apparantly they are on backorder and I should get them around March 28th.
