How has it been working so far? Any coolant loss? I'm having a simlar issue with mine an I'm wondering if replacing just the upper intake gasket will be enough.

Nice paint job by the way :)

      Thanks :)

She seems to be running just fine. No more loosing coolant, that's taken care of it seems. Also maybe it's just me but I really feel like the car is running better, stronger. Could also be my imagination though.

When I had the upper intake off and looked down into the runners in the lower I noticed all were a bit black (assuming from the egr) except the very front most, no black and there was a yellowish tint to the aluminum.

      Wierd.

I do suggest going ahead and doing the lower intake gaskets if you do plan to go ahead and do the upper. You will allready be that far into the engine, might as well take off a few more bolts and give yourself some peace of mind that you have new gaskets there as well. They are more pricey and a bit more of a hassle to install (but they do have alignment pins thankfully) than the upper intake gasket.

Plus if you take off the lower you can get a real good look at that damned plastic elbow piece and make sure that's not a problem either.
