Rear Main Oil Leak ??? Need Help!

[L36Camaro]

I just jacked up my car after driving it tonight, and looked by the y pipe to see where the leak is coming from; there is oil all over the right (passenger) motor mount, and it's dripping slowly. There is also oil on the y pipe directly behind the oil drain plug. Does that sound like a Rear Main leak? :(

If your going to have one leak fixed,, go ahead and have every thing replaced, rear main seal and cover gasket, oil pan gasket, and maybe valve cover gaskets. Its a lot less trubble this way. ;)

I agree. If you have oil on your engile mount its not your oil plug or your main seal. On the other hand oil on your y pipe could be a rear seal. You probibly have multiple leaks. If you plan on having the rear seal replaced in a shop you should upgrade your torque converter and have them put it on instead of the old one. That way you get extra work done for free because they cant charge you twice for the labor, all the labor is paid for in the rear main seal replacment.
