ok guys here is my problem, and just to let you know i have done a search on this subject and found nothing, well anyways about three moths ago or so i changed out all my ignition coils and everything started running fine. then about two weeks ago i went to start my car for the day and it just died. went back to autozone and they found out that one coil had gone bad, so i got another new one. well last night i was gonna go out and started up my car, everything was fine, went to back out of the parking spot and the car just died. today i plan on taking them to autozone again. if they find out that the ignition coil is bad again, is there anything that could be making these go bad that often? i have had my icm tested both times and both times it checked good. what could be causing the ignition coils to go bad?

water seepage is my theory... the whole assembly (tray, ICM, and coil packs) is shaped like a bathtub and i feel like it collects inside there. normally the ICM will go out first so i'm wondering what method you used to test it. a continuance check won't show it because the circuit only breaks down under load. i'm sure you have heard to replace the coils all at once because when one goes down, all the others are thrown off.

If the ICM is not too much, and you have more than 100K, I woul dreplace it. Mine is do REAL soon. Also, how much were the autozone coils individually? If they are near $25 or $30 just get some accels. Thats what I did. well i changed out all three three months ago and it still killed the other one. ok went to autozone to get it tested with them. im imagining that they put it on a load to test it. but i know they only test the coils with a volt meter. how much are accells and how much of a difference do you feel with them?
